Pangolin Prize 2006 winners |

Each year, the Pangolin Prize showcases the best laser presentations from around the world. This year, we had 21 entries for the Pangolin Prize competition. This number is very high, and is comparable to what we have seen over the past several years. All entries were EXCELLENT and nearly all of the graphic entries were created using Lasershow Converter MAX or Lasershow Converter FLASH. Separate Categories for Beams and GraphicsWith the large number of entries, we decided to continue what we started a few years ago and distribute a total of six prizes -- a first, second and third place for Graphics and a first, second and third place for Beams. The Judging ProcessDuring the awards presentation, all entries were played direct from computer for the audience of around 50 people who voted for their favorites. Despite the large number of entries this year, the point-spread between the first, second and third place winners was quite close. In fact, there was a tie for third place in the Graphics category (tying entries must split the prizes), and all three winning beam shows were programmed by the same person!
