Pangolin Prize 2003 winners |

Each year, the Pangolin Prize entries showcases the best laser presentations from around the world. This year, we had 25 entries for the Pangolin Prize competition. This number is very high, and is comparable to what we have seen over the past two years. All entries were EXCELLENT and two thirds of the graphic entries were created using Lasershow Converter MAX. Separate Categories for Beams and GraphicsWith the large number of entries, we decided to continue what we started last year and distribute a total of six prizes -- a first, second and third place for Graphics and a first, second and third place for Beams. The Judging ProcessDuring the awards presentation, all entries were played direct from computer for the audience of 60 people (30 at the Amsterdam meeting and another 30 at the Brussels meeting) who voted for their favorites. Despite the large number of entries this year, the point-spread between the first, second and third place winners was quite close. In fact, there was only a one-vote difference between the Second Place and Third Place winners in the Beams category.

Free shows for Pangolin usersAs a bonus for Pangolin users, two of the winning shows, Laser Entertainment's "Europe" graphic show and HW Lasertechnik's "12 years later" beam show, will be provided free as part of the latest LD2000 installation CD-ROM.
