The 12th Annual Pangolin Meetings were a great success with 60 people in attendance from
around the world.
There were two meetings. The first was held
Monday, November 24, within the laser studio of
Laser Image BV in The
Netherlands, close to Amsterdam. The
second was held Wednesday, November 26, the day before the
ILDA conference. Each meeting had
30 people in attendance, and each had the same basic components:
-
Introduction to Pangolin and Staff Members
-
Discussion of the new features in Pangolin
software, and new products including
Interactive Messaging
Unlimited and
Lasershow Converter 4D
-
New Technology Presentation
-
Lunch
-
Presentation and judging of laser shows for
the Pangolin Prize
-
LivePRO discussion and demonstration by Glenn
Turner of
Lasercorp
Since each meeting had the same basic
components, we will mainly discuss the first meeting on this page.
During this portion of the meeting, Pangolins
president William Benner introduced Pangolin Laser Systems and a few
members of
the staff of Pangolin.

Demonstration of
new features, IMU and LC4D
During this portion of the meeting, the new
features of the LD2000 system were demonstrated, including updates
to Projection Zones, DMX and
Enhanced Reality Preview.
In addition to the discussion of
LD2000 features, several completely new products were shown
including Interactive Messaging
Unlimited -- Pangolin's SMS Messaging software and
Lasershow
Converter 4D -- a new Lasershow Converter family member that
allows you to convert 3D graphics created in
MAXON Cinema 4D directly into
laser animations.

We were very fortunate to have Patrick Dietzel of Laserlight Showdesign
present a discussion about the latest version of his show
performance software called Laserlight Showcontrol. The latest
version has some great new features that allow you to quickly create
and organize your shows, and additional support for new LD2000
features including Projection Zones and Enhanced Reality Preview. For more

Established for the first time last year,
Pangolin continued its tradition of providing a wide variety of
foods to choose from. This year we selected the food court where the
ACF conference was held. This food court provided
American, Mexican, Chinese, and Italian foods, as well as pastries
and a full complement of beverages.

This year, we had 25 entries for the Pangolin
Prize competition. This is on par with the number that we received
over the past two years. All entries were EXCELLENT and two thirds were created with
Lasershow Converter MAX.

The Pangolin Meeting wrapped up with
Glenn Turner demonstrating Pangolin's LivePRO
software, and illustrating how to best use this software do perform
live shows in Discos and even at corporate events.
