ere's a sneak preview of the ILDA 2000 conference site. Click on any of the photos for a full-sized view. SI-Centrum complexThe SI-Centrum ("Center") complex features hotels, themed restaurants, hotels, movies, theatre and shopping. It can best be described as "Disney meets Broadway with a German accent."

explaining the large gray gap at lower left.
A dusk view of the theatre complex across the street from the
hotels. On the top of the building at left can be seen two signs
with white and red neon. These are for "Disney's Die Schöne
und Das Biest", a German production of "Beauty and the
Beast".

The ILDA Trade Show takes place in the Berlin Konferenzräume. Shown above is the entrance, in the UG underground shopping plaza which goes between the hotel-Colonnaden area, to the Broadway and movie theaters.
DaimlerChrysler world headquarters
The world headquarters of DaimlerChrysler is almost
directly across the street from the SI-Centrum. Note the large
rotating Mercedes-Benz logo. It is illuminated at night; perhaps the
ultimate status symbol. |
